— Yoseikan’s Concept of Education — Yoseikan champions the values of self-control. These values consist of independent thinking, empathy, virtues of collaboration, interpreting intents of opponents, and constructive channelling of aggressive feelings and emotions. Only with a thorough training can Yoseikan instil these elements of discipline within the minds of pupils.
—How Do We Engage in Education through Martial Arts? — Instructors working within Kids Budo are specifically prepared to place emphasis on each young pupil’s unique physical and intellectual abilities, development paths, and overall goals. This way, trainers can guide every student through increasingly challenging tasks throughout their journey. This is due to the widely accepted understanding that martial arts empower our daily life. That is also why students and parents are encouraged to meet with instructors to review and discuss their progress.
— How Do Instructors Teach Martial Arts? — We embrace and advocate for cooperative teaching methods. Students are therefore encouraged to support one another to complete their objectives. Beginner classes of children’s multidisciplinary martial arts are available from 5 to 13years old. These include calisthenics, exercises with fitball (yoga ball), open handed strikes, team games, rolling techniques, throws, ground work, and foam weapons training.
